WOODSTOCK

The famous Woodstock festival, the event at the height of the spread of hippie culture.

The Woodstock festival took place in Bethel, a small rural town in the state of New York, from 15 to 18 August 1969 and boasted more than 500,000 visitors.

Woodstock was conceived as a provincial festival but unexpectedly welcomed many young people and thirty-two musicians and groups alternated on stage, among the best known of that time. The performances of the artists stopped one day later than expected.

The festival had a great symbolic charge whose fame continues today and was a great event in the history of rock and costume.
