A tale of revenge, Angry Birds follows the story of the franchise’s protagonists, Red, Chuck and Bomb as each set out to teach the evil Piggie clan a lesson or two for scoffing all of their eggs.
From its first app game in 2009, Angry Birds now spans videogames for consoles and PC, consumer products and a blockbusting feature length film.
Thanks to its comic style and puzzle solving challenges, Angry Birds has shot to global fame, setting a new record in 2015 when it achieved a staggering three billion downloads across all of its gaming platforms to become the most successful mobile app of all time.
June 2016 saw Angry Birds – The Movie land in cinemas across Italy. Produced by Rovio Entertainment and distributed by Warner Bros. Entertainment, the movie shot to critical acclaim grossing $352 million at the global box office as fans piled in to watch Red, Chuck and Bomb in animated action.
The Angry Birds brand soared to new heights in September 2019 with the theatrical release of The Angry Birds Movie 2! Rovio is spearheading its biggest brand licensing initiative to date in support of the comedy blockbuster, and as part of the support, will create a multitude of new, beautiful style guides.
